Mar 13 volunteer work day on the shores of Maury Island
Come help restore native shoreline habitat to the Puget Sound ecosystem.
Join People For Puget Sound and Sound Stewards at Maury Island Marine Park. This former gravel mine has the potential to be pristine shoreline habitat with your help. We’ll be working together to remove pesky invasive weeds like blackberry and scotch broom . Put on your (work) gloves and join the fight!

Olympic Peninsula. This a short and steep trail that leads to some amazing vistas of the Olympics and the Cascades. We'll work on maintenance heading up the trail - focusing on improving the tread. |

Northwest WA near Bellingham. WTA will spend a couple of weekends this winter improving several trails within Larrabee State Park. The work will focus on general maintenance including improving drainage in places where the tread is muddy, as well as possible trail realignment. |

Join our "Thursday Crew" volunteers to help finish construction on a new multi-use trail. Last year WTA Volunteers completed "phase 1" of the Hardy Ridge Project, officially opening the trail to hikers. We're refining the trail by removing stumps, adding rock walls and bringing the tread up to code. |

Event Description
Located in the Highlands neighborhood, this naturally wooded green space is 2.6 acres. Informal footpaths lead you through this beautiful area with its abundance of indigenous shrubs, plants and trees.

Olympic Peninsula near Lake Cushman. This trail was hammered by fall storms, with over 120 trees across the trail at one point. The Forest Service has mostly cleared the trail of the trees, and now WTA volunteers are needed to address some maintenance needs, including tread repair, drainage work, and some brushing further up the trail. |
The Volunteer Work Party is a great way to get involved and interact with other Bicycle Enthusiasts. It is (usually) scheduled for the 4th Thursday of every month from 1-4 at the Bicycle Alliance office, 309A 3rd Ave. S., Seattle, WA 98104.
